Marek Tufman
is the founder and principal lawyer of Tufman & Associates. He has appeared extensively before all trial and appellate levels of Ontario
Courts, Federal Court of Canada, Supreme Court of Canada, and various
administrative tribunals; he has also appeared at trials before a number of U.S.
Courts (Federal and District). Mr.
Tufman
began his legal career in 1969 when he earned his M. Jur. Degree from
the
University of Lodz. He was awarded his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law
School in 1977, after having taught law school for several years.
Throughout his professional, career Mr. Tufman has earned three
LL.M. degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School, in the areas of
Jurisprudence and
Criminal Law, Business Law, and Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute
Resolution. Mr. Tufman also holds a certificate in dispute resolution
from
York University, and is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a
Specialist in Civil Litigation.
With Consent of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, Mr. Tufman was awarded a major Polish State Honour, The Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. He has been awarded the Voluntary Service Award of Ontario, as well as the 90th Anniversary Medal of the Polish Alliance of Canada. On four separate occasions Mr. Tufman has been selected as the “Top GTA Lawyer” through a survey conducted by Top Choice Awards. Throughout his career Mr. Tufman has been an active member of both the professional and academic legal communities. He has held positions as Adjunct Professor at York University and instructed Law Society of Upper Canada Bar Admissions Courses in Civil Procedure, Advocacy and Errors and Omissions. Mr. Tufman has also served as Vice-Chair of the Police Services Act Board of Inquiry. Mr. Tufman is extensively involved in volunteer community and social activities, and in pro bono professional work. He has organized and directed a free legal clinic for members of Toronto Polish community and sponsors numerous community, cultural and social events. Mr. Tufman is presently serving as a Director of the Polish Orphans’ Charity, and of the Polish Canadian Society of Music. Prior to founding Tufman & Associates Mr. Tufman held positions as a Teaching Fellow at York University and as a Lecturer in Law at the University of Papua New Guinea. Mr. Tufman is a current member of the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, Peel Lawyers’ Association, York Region Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers’ Association and American Society of International Law. He is an associate member of The Society of Public Teachers of Law (UK). Mr. Tufman is also an active member of The Law Society of Upper Canada, The Advocates’ Society and The Ontario Bar Association. Outside of work Mr. Tufman enjoys listening to classical and jazz music, and is an avid traveller. |

![]() Brooke Camlis joined Tufman & Associates as an associate lawyer in 2012 after completing her articles at the firm. Brooke then spent time at a family law firm in Barrie before returning to Tufman & Associates to work out of the Barrie office. Brooke has been involved with Pro Bono Canada in providing legal services to self-represented parties. Brooke has international legal experience in Uganda, Israel and the United Kingdom. Brooke is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, and the University of Windsor. At the University of Windsor Brooke graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is a strong and dedicated advocate for her clients. Brooke specializes in and has extensive knowledge of family law issues including: support, custody, access, and property division. Brooke has successfully advocated for her clients at every stage of the court process. Brooke has a results-oriented practice and provides personalized legal services to each client with the utmost dedication and commitment. Brooke is a current member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Law Society of England and Wales and Ontario Bar Association. When she is not in the office, Brooke enjoys travelling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Gregory Tufman joined Tufman & Associates as an associate lawyer in 2016
after completing
his articles at the firm. Gregory completed his LLB at the University of Southampton,
and his National Committee on Accreditation requirements before starting his articling term at Tufman & Associates in June 2015.
While attending law school, Gregory was an active member of the University of Southampton Inns of Court Society, Law Society and Mooting Team. He was a successful participant in a number of mooting and cross examination competitions where he consistently placed as a quarter and semi-finalist. In his final year, Gregory acted as a mentor to first year students who were preparing for their first moot, as a mooting judge and as a clerk for the mandatory first year moot, which was judged by local judges and barristers. Through his experiences at law school Gregory developed a keen interest in litigation and advocacy. Prior to law school Gregory graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilizations (minor in Political Science), and later with a Bachelor of Computer Science. He then spent three years in a successful career as a software developer before transitioning into a career in the law. Gregory is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and Canadian Bar Association and is an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves. Outside of work, Gregory enjoys travelling, spending time with his family and playing rugby. |
